To accompany the album announcement, St. Vincent has heralded her industrial rock era with perhaps her most unhinged, uncomfortable music video to date.
"A set that would renew your faith in alternative pop music."
"Eternity abides in each moment; the wisdom Le Bon offers is centuries old."
"'Pompeii' was written and recorded in a quagmire of unease."
"Le Bon played some feverish guitar at its close and briefly surrendered her calm, serene persona to cut loose."
"Expect nothing of this album except that it will keep giving."
"After Le Bon informs us this is their "first rodeo in Melbourne", a punter appropriately hollers "YEE-har!""
It's a short and sweet one though
"Angular at its best, alienating at its worst, forgettable it is not."
Le Bon’s voice is less folk and more icy chanteuse with austere Nico-like intonements, making it equally annoying and charming.
