Album title? The Ahern Brothers

Where did the title of your new album come from? It's our first release so we thought it was fitting to go with self-titled.

How many releases do you have now? One.

How long did it take to write/record? We spent three amazing weeks in Northern California and Oregon late last year and wrote the entirety of the album during this period. We recorded it over one weekend at Union St Studio in Melbourne.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? The whole trip was incredibly inspiring. Everywhere we travelled, the people, cities, national parks, all contributed to the content of the album. We were on the other side of the world having the best time.

What's your favourite song on it? Josh: Comb That River. Steve: Your Name

Will you do anything differently next time? We're not quite sure what direction the next album will take at this stage, but once we start writing we'll have a better idea.

When and where is your launch/next gigs? 22 Jul, Wesley Anne. It's our Melbourne album launch and it's a great room so we can't wait to play there.
