How long have you been together? Around three years. The first year was spent writing tunes and gearing up to record.
How did you all meet? We all met through mutual friends and musician wanted ads in Rave Magazine. First jam was so epic. We new right away we needed to write and record some music.
You’re on tour in the van – which band or artist is going to keep the most people happy if we throw them on the stereo? Each of us has different bands we dig. Probably Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Incubus (Science), DLC, 30 Seconds To Mars, Breaking Benjamin, Mutemath.
Would you rather be a busted broke-but-revered Hank Williams figure or some kind of Metallica monster? We just enjoying playing music, but we’d totally love to play massive shows like Metallica. And also have our own Lear jet and tour bus.
Which Brisbane bands before you have been an inspiration (musically or otherwise)? Dead Letter Circus is a band we all admire. They did the hard yards touring, writing and recording great EPs/albums and made a real impact in Australian music.
What part do you think Brisbane plays in the music you make? Brisbane’s a great place to play and along with the Gold Coast has served as our HQ. There are many amazing bands in Brisbane and some great venues.
What’s in the pipeline for the band in the short term? We recently released our new single Oceans, and we’re doing an east coast tour to launch it.
