The first new song in 20 years from the iconic Melbourne act.

More Painters & Dockers More Painters & Dockers

Rooted in working-class politics and reinvigorated contemporary production, the first single in two decades from Melbourne rockers Painters & Dockers doesn’t let up for a second.

When frontman Paulie Stewart isn’t spitting catchy melodies, bold guitar leads weave their way around a horns section, all pieced together by engineer Jez Giddings (The Living End, Dallas Frasca) and producer/mixer Michael Badger (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard).

It’s been a rough week for Stewart, who is undergoing surgery following a head injury, but he won’t let that stop the band giving the new single a massive hometown launch this weekend.

They’ve roped in some good friends” to perform the songs, as Stewart insists "the show must go on".
