BIGSOUND act Samsaruh recently unleashed a straight fire new single, fittingly called Speaking Fire, and the video is premiering exclusively today on theMusic.com.au.

Shot in Melbourne with up and coming director Pernell Marsden and produced by LP Creative, the video and track highlight the power of Samsaruh's voals.

Speaking about the track the Melbourne based singer-songwriter said, "When I wrote Speaking Fire it was essentially about one important message I wanted to remind people of."

"Nothing in life is more important than life itself and there’s no guarantee on how long you’ll be here for, so enjoy every second like it’s your last. Don’t let anyone, (including yourself) pour water over your flame.

"In this video we tried to capture that by bringing to life a modern interpretation of the story of the four horsemen. The red horse represented going into battle, black horse was famine and imperial oppression, white horse was pestilence and conquest, and the pale horse represented death.

"Throughout the video I’m seen dragging a sack of money, the whole point was that I had stolen this money from society and then chucked it in the fire at the end to show that money or materialism is nothing at the end of the day. It’s the real things in life such as your own happiness that are most vital, so don’t let anyone mess with that. It’s your life and you deserve your happiness, so you grab onto it with all force."

Samsaruh is heading out on her debut headline tour next month starting at BIGSOUND before playing gigs in Sydney and Melbourne.
