VIDEO PREMIERE: Southeast Desert Metal - 'Break The Silence'

Following on from single Rainmaker, the world's "most isolated metal band" Southeast Desert Metal return today with a brand new video for track Break The Silence and it is premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au. 

Filmed by cinematographer Dylan River, the clip "deals with the dark history of Australia told through an Indigenous lens".  

The meaning of the song, singer Chris Wallace says, is about "being as one". 

"We all have the same blood colour, only our skin is a different colour. We should live our lives as humans. The song is based on the history of racism. No one talks much about our history. 

"We have monuments in town for western explorers but there are no Indigenous people. Like on ANZAC day they celebrate European soldiers but our mob fought the wars too. So the song is about recognising that and working together.”
