Cody WalkerA singer-songwriter hailing from Tamworth, NSW. With music always playing a pivotal role in his life, he spent his teenage years and early 20s immersed in punk rock and heavy metal bands. After a brief hiatus from music in his mid-to-late 20s due to work commitments, it was busking on the streets of Tamworth at the 2023 Tamworth Country Music Festival that reminded him, music is where his heart truly lies. Shortly after, Cody quickly dove back into performing solo gigs not only in Tamworth and its surrounding towns, but across the state and country.
In just under two years, his captivating performances earned him the prestigious John Minson Scholarship at the 2024 CMAA Academy of Country Music. Following the Academy and a jam-packed 2024 TCMF, Cody has become a rising star, competing in several talent searches including making it into, the Top 5 of the 2TM Discovered Talent Search, the Top 10 in Today’s Country 94.1 FM’s Brand New Star, Top 5 in the Country on Keppel Talent Search, and the Top 10 in the Rindin' Hearts Festival Talent Search.
With a raw, authentic sound and a natural stage presence, Cody Walker is quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting up-and-coming artists in Australian country music.
