Newcastle based label Bolty Faults Autos is proud to present Frog Impostor’s debut single launch: ‘Verde’ at Bergy Bandroom, featuring headliner Frog Impostor (NSW) and special guests Riff Raff (VIC), Remember the Circus (VIC), and Packed With Haste (NSW). Frog Impostor are a Muloobinbah based prog-folk trio that draw inspiration from their global musical travels and their hometown Newcastle. Building on their shared love for acoustic music traditions, fat electronic sounds and the gritty jams that occur around 4am afterparty firesides, Frog Impostor’s music is lyrical, bombastic, unpredictable and relatable. Expect to hear splashes of drum&bass, latin, indie, jazz, electronica and everything inbetween. Featuring the multi-instrumental/multilingual talents of Niamh Bellicanta (Vox/accordion/guitar/trumpet/drums), Packed with Haste frontman James Hodgett (Keys/Synths) and ubiquitous artistry of Tim Evans (drums/guitar/vox), Frog Impostor will also be inviting several special guests to the stage throughout their performance...Off the back of their Sound NSW backed 2024 tour of Europe, debut single release Verde and burgeoning local support, Frog Impostor are taking their engaging and energetic live show on the road in celebration of their debut single Verde and upcoming E.P. The Newcastle-bred and now Melbourne-based singer/songwriter released an EP with the band in late 2023 called At Ease, At Last - and moved south shortly after its release.
Away from the comforts of home (like having a band), sharing his old and new songs with new audiences in Victoria is what 2025 is all about. Come along for stories, raw and honest songwriting, and maybe even the stirring of a human emotion or two.Packed with HastePacked with Haste is a project started by Newcastle based musician James Hodgett, delivering a combination of rhythmic and ambient sounds. Influences include Hania Rani, Anne Muller and Four Tet. Packed with haste delivers electronic and soulful groove based music that is both thoughtful and inspires movement / freedom of expression.
