To celebrate the release of their new mixtape “dwell”, join horlin for their Naarm/Melbourne live debut at the Gaso Upstairs alongside special guests second skin and Soft Porn, with visuals by nicholaspjm.
horlin is the mononym of Jaak Horlin - a songwriter, vocalist, visual and sound designer based in Naarm. In 2023, horlin won Ninajirachi’s 'Things I Never Nu' remix competition, leading to its official release on the Second Nature Remix EP via NLV Records. horlin’s new mixtape “dwell” is a collection of glitched-out, glossy and unapologetically vulnerable synth pop.
second skin Second Skin (the alias of hyperpop/trance artist nabii), is a downtempo/alt-pop project that captures a sound that is introspective and vulnerable, exploring the heavier emotions often left unspoken. second skin is a testament to her versatility - a new side of her artistry, stepping away from the high-energy world of dance music to deliver something more atmospheric, raw, and honest.
Soft Porn Soft Porn is the alternative/electronic project of songwriter/producer, Jye G. Blending a state of sedated melancholy with fast breaks and fuzzy synths, the sweet spot between high energy and ethereal is a line that for the Naarm based artist, needs to stay blurred.
