Two of Australia’s most mythical underground rock bands are joining forces for a special double-header at The Hamo, Newcastle – Tumbleweed and The New Christs. Tumbleweed, are returning to Newie for a long-overdue performance. The band have been making waves with their latest AA-sided single When We Were Young/Patchouli Girl, produced by none other than Rob Younger of The New Christs and Radio Birdman. The single, a potent mix of nostalgia and power, highlights the deep connection between the two acts.
Sharing the stage with Tumbleweed will be The New Christs, featuring key members of the legendary Radio Birdman, including Rob Younger and Jim Dickson. Following a recent string of shows celebrating their Radio Birdman ties, The New Christs bring their own raw energy to the table, playing their distinctive brand of rock and roll that’s made them one of the most respected names in Aussie underground music.
