50 Cent has landed in hot water after he hurled a microphone into the crowd during a show on Wednesday (Aug 30) which struck a woman in the head.

The rapper was performing in Los Angeles as part of his Final Lap tour, when he ran into issues with several of his microphones that apparently didn’t work.

While performing Toot It and Boot It onstage with YG, a second faulty microphone was clearly the straw that broke the camel’s back, as he then furiously threw the mic into the audience.

According to TMZ, the second microphone struck radio DJ Bryhana Monegain, leaving her with a forehead laceration. She filed a police report on Wednesday night, telling police that Fiddy “looked directly at her before throwing the mic”.

As a result, the Wanksta rapper is now a suspect in a criminal felony battery report.

Despite the woman’s claims that the hip-hop star was aware she was there when he threw the mic, 50 Cent's attorney, Scott Leemon, tells TMZ ... "Let's be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis (AKA 50 Cent) would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed."

It’s the second microphone-throwing incident in recent weeks, following Cardi B throwing her microphone at a rowdy crowd member who threw a drink in her face wile she was performing Bodak Yellow at Drai's Beachclub in Las Vegas on July 31.

In another wild video captured by a fan, the microphone appears to strike the offending audience member square in the head, before Cardi continued to berate the fan as security steps in.
