"There was definitely no resolution."
Harry Rodrigues, better known as Baauer – the DJ behind the viral Harlem Shake track – reckons that Azealia Banks is as scary in real life as she is on Twitter after a face-to-face encounter.
While Harlem Shake was launching a thousand memes and introducing Baauer to an audience outside of the existing trap scene, Banks released her previously-recorded vocal version of the track, despite Rodrigues' request for her not to. He got it removed from SoundCloud, but that prompter Banks, aka Yung Rapunxel, to then accuse him of “coccblockin” – and called him a “faggoot”.
Speaking to theMusic.com.au's Cyclone, Rodrigues said they've since met in the real world.
“We actually randomly met in a restaurant in Miami, completely randomly, but I'll say there was definitely no resolution,” he said.

The exchange was “polite”, if brief – “She looked at me and said, 'What's up, funny man?'” – but Banks was soon mocking him again in tweets.
“I'll tell you what – she was scary,” he laughed nervously. “She's a scary person.”
He has, however, befriended another Harlem rap star in A$AP Rocky.
“I've been in the studio with him – we listened to music and we worked on some shit,” he said. “That's a relationship I'm trying to get going a little more.”
