Brisbane Isn't FINNEAS' Favourite City In Australia

FINNEAS is currently in Australia on his For Cryin’ Out Loud tour, and in a new interview, he admitted that Brisbane isn’t his favourite city.

Appearing in an interview with Buzzfeed Australia, the singer-songwriter and older brother of Billie Eilish was discussing Brisbaneites’ attitudes towards their city, stating that he knew his Fortitude Music Hall audience would “boo” him when he said he visited the tourist hotspot, South Bank.

“The people in Brisbane hate the city of Brisbane, and I don’t understand what the fuss is all about; I’ve had a great time,” he said.

“We went to this place in Brisbane called South Bank, which has this, like, big public pool, and I told the guys in the band, I was like, ‘I’m going to bring it up at the show tomorrow, and they’re going to boo.’ And they did.”

Adding that he believes it’s “silly” for locals to “boo something awesome about your own city,” the conversation then turned, and FINNEAS said Brisbane isn’t his favourite city in Australia.

“I’m not on the hate train, but I don’t know if I can say it’s my favourite city in Australia,” he said.

“I also like it here in Sydney, I also like it in Melbourne, I like it in Adelaide. I’ve got no problem with Australia, I think it’s a great, great place.”
