Less than a week after announcing their hotly anticipated third album, Cosmo’s Midnight have announced a massive national tour to promote it.

The album, Stop Thinking Start Feeling, was announced by the Sydney (Eora) electronica duo last Thursday (April 11) and is due for release on May 24 via Sony Music. The tour will kick off just a few weeks later, beginning with a hometown show at Liberty Hall on Friday July 5. The following night (July 6), they’ll head up to Brisbane (Meanjin) to play the Princess Theatre.

From there, Cosmo’s Midnight will play the Northcote Theatre in Melbourne (Naarm) on Friday July 12, then the Astor Theatre in Perth (Boorloo) on Saturday July 13, and finally the Uni Bar in Hobart (nipaluna) on Saturday July 20.

Tickets for all five shows go on sale at 12pm AEST this Thursday (April 18), following a presale that kicks off at the same time a day earlier (April 17). Head here to sign up for the presale, or bookmark this link for the general sale.

Thus far Cosmo’s Midnight have shared four previews of their new album: Gimme Some More (featuring Shungudzo) arrived first last October, followed by Borrowed Time (with Forest Claudette) in December, then Fantasy (with Franc Moody) in February of this year, and finally Chance On You (with KUČKA) last month.

In a press statement, they said of Stop Thinking Start Feeling as a whole: “We try to create a world that you can get in, insert yourself into; whether it be escapism or fantasising about being somewhere you’d rather be. It’s a way to transport you.”

Stop Thinking Start Feeling comes as the follow-up to 2020’s Yesteryear album, which sported collaborations with the likes of Ruel and Stevan, and was nominated for Best Dance Release at the 2021 ARIA Awards.
