Dethklok Reveal 2025 Australian Tour Dates

Melodic death metal outfit Dethklok are heading to Australia in April 2025, bringing their brand of heavy music meets satire and animation to stages across the country.

The tour starts at the Forum in Melbourne on Friday, 4 April, continues at The Roundhouse in Sydney (Saturday, 5 April), The Tivoli in Brisbane (Sunday, 6 April), and wraps up at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall (Tuesday, 8 April).

Fans have been waiting a long time to see Dethklok on Australian stages, and for this tour, they’ll have the opportunity to score VIP pre-sale tickets to see the band behind the Adult Swim series, Metalocalypse.

VIP pre-sale tickets will be available from 10 am local time on Thursday, 12 December, followed by the general sale opening on Friday, 13 December, at 10 am local time.

Melbourne fans can access tickets via Ticketek, Sydney and Adelaide fans via Moshtix, and Brisbane fans through Ticketmaster. More ticketing information is available on the Dethklok website.

Dethklok was born as a fictional band for the screen on Metalocalypse. However, musician and show co-creator Brendon Small needed a real-life group to play the songs when the band started to play live.

Led by Brendon Small and starring legendary drummer Gene Hoglan, the Awaken Australia tour will provide a new look into heavy metal, offering savage, heavy instrumentation and comedic genius that’s captivated audiences for years.

With their live shows, Dethklok promises a multi-media extravaganza unlike any other. Last year, they released their first album in over a decade, Dethalbum IV, along with a soundtrack album to the film Metalocalypse: Army Of The Doomstar.

Despite Small previously stating, “I think I’m basically all but finished making Dethklok records, only because the network has been less than easygoing about lending out the name,” in May 2016, Dethklok returned to the stage at Adult Swim Festival in 2019.

In 2021, Adult Swim announced that it had revived Metalocalypse after cancelling the series in 2013. Army Of The Doomstar signalled the show’s return, which is about a band that became “the world’s most popular and successful death metal band.”
