As we slowly creep into the New Year, the words on everyone's lips express nothing more than utter excitement for the return of prolific rapper Drake to Australia after eight long years.
After teasing for weeks online about his return to Australia, the star finally confirmed in an Instagram live with xQc that he will be making his way back down under in February 2025, citing: “I'm coming to Australia for the first time in eight years, coming back to Australia on tour – it's actually, funnily enough, called the Anita Max Win tour”.
But before he touches down on our home soil, the artist is first familiarising himself with the accent and slang. In a video posted to Rap Eras Instagram, a clip of Drake live streaming with streamer Adin Ross, sees the rapper state that he’s “keen” to touch down in Australia and see all of his fans, before expressing: “easy as!”.

Over two weeks after Drake initially teased his plans to tour Australia, his Anita Max Win tour – presented by Live Nation – was confirmed, and would see him hit major cities in Australia, as well as play two shows in New Zealand. Since his last show in 2027, the rapper has dropped many significant albums, including 2018’s Scorpion, 2021’s Certified Lover Boy, 2022’s collaborative project with 21 Savage, Her Loss, and last year’s For All The Dogs. With that being said, the rapper has a lot of catching up to do with his Australian and New Zealand fans.
Many dates have been added to Anita Max Win tour (which initially hosted only 5 Australian shows), meeting the demands of thousands of Drake fans on this side of the globe. The tour will now kick off in Perth, with two new dates at the RAC Arena on the 4th and 5th of February, before he plays 4 shows in Melbourne between the 9th and 13th. Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena will see Drake 4 times between the 16th and the 20th, and Brisbane Entertainment Centre will see Drake for two nights on the 24th and 25th of February, marking his final shows in Australia. Finishing off tour, Drake will head to Auckland, New Zealand to play the Spark Arena on Friday the 28th of February and Saturday the 1st of March.
