Dua Lipa kicked off her first of eight dates on her Radical Optimism Australian tour in Melbourne last night (17 March).
On her first of five sold-out dates at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena, ahead of three sold-out nights at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, the New Rules singer brought a 22-song set of bangers to her devoted fans.
With a setlist representing Lipa’s three albums – her 2017 self-titled debut album, 2020’s Future Nostalgia, and last year’s Radical Optimism – as well as collaborations with Calvin Harris and Silk City, Lipa also premiered Radical Optimism cuts Maria and Falling Forever, plus a surprise cover of AC/DC’s Highway To Hell—a rad move to add an AC/DC classic for a ravenous Australian audience.
Check out the setlist and her cover of Highway To Hell below.

For Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism tour, Australian singer-songwriter Kita Alexander is the special guest on all dates.
Last year, Lipa explained the inspiration behind Radical Optimism, adding that a friend introduced her to the term, and the concept resonated with her.
She said, “I became more curious as I started to play with it and weave it into my life. It struck me — the idea of going through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm.”
