Scotland's Glasvegas Will Drop Third Album Next Month

Scottish indie rock four-piece Glasvegas will be making their Australian fans very happy today, unveiling the Aussie release date for their third studio record, Later…When The TV Turns To Static.

The next chapter in the Glasgow band's already acclaimed repertoire, the sad  Later…When The TV Turns To Static is a ten-track sonic journey through ending relationships and releasing emotion about the world's issues.

Recorded at frontman and songwriter James Allan's home and practice room (affectionally known as “the Cave”) in Glasgow, and produced by Allan at Gorbals Studio, the band were able to obtain the vintage sound desk once owned by Decca Records, equipment which has seen the recording of the likes of Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma.

Glasvegas have enjoyed a successful and turbulent career to date, nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2009 for their debut self-titled record, with their follow-up, Euphoric /// Heartbreak \\\, not receiving the same commercial success – seeing them part ways with Columbia Records and Sony Music.

In June this year, the band were signed to BMG, dropping their highly anticipated third full-length and first release on the label next month, fresh with a tracklist and cover art as follows.
