Lana Del Rey Leaves Social Media

Lana Del Rey has quit the one social media platform she uses regularly, Instagram, closing down her Honeymoon private account effective immediately.

Citing tour dates her fans already know about and her father, Rob Grant’s debut album is out now, Del Rey doesn’t see the point in having a social media presence any longer. Her leaving Instagram isn’t a brand-new choice; the Born To Die singer previously departed the platform in 2021.

"Thank you so much for everything,” Del Rey wrote, captioning a photo of a butterfly on her nose. "Now that Rob's record is out and now you know where I'm touring this account is closing. Good Luck and love u."

Lana Del Rey’s father, Rob Grant, released his debut album, Lost At Sea, on Friday, 9 June via Decca Records. Del Rey contributes guest vocals on the title track and on the song Hollywood Bowl. Grant’s record is primarily instrumental and features gorgeous piano-driven melodies.

In late March, Lana Del Rey released her ninth album, Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd and caused controversy with her explicit album art.

Did You Know... is the follow-up to Del Rey’s 2021 records Chemtrails Over The Country Club and Blue Banisters. It will feature collaborations with producers Jack Antonoff, Drew Erickson and Zach Dawes, engineer Laura Sisk, as well as guest vocalists Jon Batiste, Father John Misty, and Tommy Genesis. 

Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd contains 16 tracks, some with wordy song titles, including Grandfather Please Stand on The Shoulders of My Father While He’s Deep-Sea Fishing.
