Norwegian-Bulgarian performer Mikhael Paskalev will perform a solo sideshow in Adelaide while in the country for July's Splendour In The Grass festival.

Already announced on a dual sideshow bill with US good-time collective Grouplove, today's revelation comes as an extra sweetener for our South Australian bretheren, who will be able to see Paskalev on-stage at the city's Unibar on Thursday, July 24.

Support acts are yet to be announced, but they will undoubtedly deeply complement Paskalev's award-winning brand of roots-dappled pop shaped by influences such as Paul Simon, The Shins, Edward Sharp and The Everly Brothers.

Paskalev's debut full-length What's Life Without Losers was released in February last year, while his debut single I Spy was a smash hit in his home country, going platinum and helping the troubadour to take out a national award for Best Unsigned Act in 2012.

Support acts will be announced in due course. Keep an eye on the freshly created event page for more information as it drops.

In the interim, have a look at his acclaimed video for I Spy, which takes heavy influence from '80s Tom Cruise-mobile Risky Business and uses it to excellent effect.
