While Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds try to hold onto #1

More Baauer More Baauer

Sydney rap duo Spit Syndicate are set to make a strong impression on the ARIA Albums Chart, according to midweek figures.

With their new album Sunday Gentlemen, the outfit are proving to be one of this week's bullet performers – behind Thom York project Atoms For Peace's Amok and Christian organisation Hillsong United's Zion. All three are tracking well at this stage, but the top spot is likely to be contested by those already in the top five.

Current number one Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' Push The Sky will be pushed along by their tour, which kicked off last night, and they're in with a shot of holding the position this week. Pink's The Truth About Love, Bruno Mars's Unorthodox Jukebox and Bee Gees' compilation Mythology will be tough to hold off though, particularly with Barry Gibb touring until tonight.

Pink might make it a clean sweep this week as the midweek figures are also indicating that Just Give Me A Reason, featuring Nate Ruess, is in with a chance of toppling current number one, Baauer's viral hit Harlem Shake. James Arthur's Impossible and Labrinth featuring Emeli Sandes' Beneath Your Beautiful are also in with a shout.
