After a short run of shows celebrating the 30th anniversary of her seminal album Don’t Ask alongside Richard Marx, Tina Arena has announced an expansive tour of Australia for April and May 2025.
Beginning the run at Perth’s Riverside Theatre on Sunday, 27 April, Arena then heads to Sydney’s State Theatre for two shows (Tuesday, 29 and Wednesday, 30 April), Penrith’s Evan Theatre on Sunday, 4 May, Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on Tuesday, 6 May, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre for two nights (Thursday, 8 and Friday, 9 May), Cairns’ Munro Martin Parklands on Saturday, 17 May, Brisbane’s QPAC Concert Hall for two shows (Tuesday, 20 and Wednesday, 21 May), Gold Coast’s The Star on Friday, 23 May, and Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre on Friday, 30 May.
Pre-sale tickets for the Don’t Ask… Again tour will be available from Thursday, 12 December, at 10 am local time before the general sale begins on Friday, 13 December, at 10 am local time. You’ll be able to purchase tickets through Tina Arena’s website.
Fans won’t only get to hear Don’t Ask hits like Chains, Sorrento Moon, and Wasn’t It Good performed by Arena and her band, but they’ll get to witness this year’s Australian Idol winner, Dylan Wright, open all shows.
In addition to the tour, Chains has just been added to the National Film & Sound Archive’s Sounds of Australia collection, celebrating the song’s impact on Australian culture.
Earlier this year, Arena reimagined Chains with Australian electronic music duo SHOUSE. She said of the surprise collaboration, “Revisiting Chains with SHOUSE has been an incredible journey. Their fresh approach has given the song a new dimension while staying true to the essence that made it special in the first place. I’m thrilled for fans old and new to experience this new chapter of Chains.”
