You can celebrate the new year at Wildlands Festival, which has officially announced its return to Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide on 31 December, 6 January and 7 January, respectively.

The festival that’s brought the likes of Tyler, The Creator, Dom Dolla, The Veronicas, RL Grime, Kaytranda, Tkay Maidza, Skepta and many more to massive Australian stages arrives with the ultimate New Year’s celebrations for the lucky Brisbane audience – Wildlands has a licence to let the music carry on past midnight – and kicks off 2024 in style in Perth and Adelaide.

You can sign up for early updates about Wildlands 2023/2024 on the festival website.

While Wildlands festival organisers haven’t announced any of the acts appearing at its upcoming event, they have shared a teaser video regarding a possible headliner, with RÜFÜS DU SOL blaring in the trailer. You can watch the clip below.

If RÜFÜS DU SOL does end up headlining this year’s event, here’s what you’re in for, per a 2019 The Music review: a group that takes the crowd by storm “with their live approach to their dreamy, drum and synth-drenched tracks. It’s refreshing to end the night taking it down a notch and appreciating their music.”

The 2022/2023 edition of Wildlands welcomed Diplo, Dom Dolla, Denzel Curry, Kaytranada, Honey Dijon, Yung Lean, SG Lewis and Supalonely star Benee back to Australia. On the local front, Jesswar, JK-47, Ninajirachi, KLP, Kota Banks, Memphis LK and more represented the hottest acts coming out of Australia.

On the 2019 festival, The Music noted: “Wildlands, you were an absolute blast. With hopes for this to be an annual event, Wildlands was your typical, fun Aussie one-day festival. Good vibes, great acts, and an all-around excellent day.”

Wildlands festival is hosted by Untitled Group, who are the masterminds behind other festivals, including Beyond The Valley, Pitch Music & Arts, Grapevine Gathering, Wildlands, For The Love, Ability Fest and more.
