English rockers You Me At Six have announced their last-ever Australian tour dates months after announcing their impending disbandment.

Although they toured Australia last July, it’s clear that You Me At Six couldn’t break up without visiting their fans down under one last time.

The tour will take place in January 2025 and begins at Brisbane’s The Tivoli (Friday, 24 January) before heading to every other major city across the country: Sydney’s Enmore Theatre (Sunday, 26 January), Melbourne’s Forum (Monday, 27 January), Adelaide’s The Gov (Wednesday, 29 January), and wraps up at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Friday, 31 January.

One of England’s hottest new rock bands, Holding Absence, will join the tour as special guests. The pre-sale for You Me At Six’s final Australian tour dates go on sale at 9 am local time on Wednesday, 15 May, before the general sale begins at 9 am local time on Friday, 17 May. Tickets will be available via The Phoenix.

In February, You Me At Six revealed their plans to disband in 2025 after 20 years as a band.

The band made the shock announcement on social media, writing to fans: “2005-2025. This is the end. Thank you for being the heartbeat of this band. Final live shows taking place 2024/2025.” Fans can sign up here for details regarding the group’s final shows.

You Me At Six have been frequent visitors to Australia since 2010, playing at Soundwave Festival on multiple occasions, opening for Paramore, performing at Groovin The Moo, and in venues nationwide.

You Me At Six frontman Josh Franceschi plans to make the final Australian tour a “victory lap,” with setlists featuring songs from the band's eight albums.

“We’ve got a plan to play songs from every single album and make it a real victory lap, and everyone feels like that,” Franceschi said in a press release. “We’ve looked at the setlists and gone, ‘Cool – those five can stay; the rest is going to be stuff we haven’t done for years. We want to have 50 songs ready to go so that each night, we can constantly mix it up and make it special.”

He continued, “When we started YMAS, we were kids. We only ever wanted to travel and to experience life as a group of friends. We feel like on the eve of our 20th anniversary as a band, now is a good time to call time.

“We’re in a fortunate position where our fans still want to see us live and come celebrate the life of this band. So that is what we will do for 2024 and 2025. We can’t wait to see our fans on the road.”
