Single title? Crash Land

What's the song about? It's a tribute to Bon Scott, inspired by a mate who knew him.

How long did it take to write/record? It was inspired after a three-hour story after a gig over beers - then two days recording.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? My new album ISLAND - a sort of concept record about Australia today.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? I hoped to convey some of the essence of Bon, It's a ballad, but it's epic, emotional and unpretentious - like the man - a true legend of Australian rock, history and culture.

We'll like this song if we like... AC/DC (sort of), Paul Kelly, Josh Ritter, Tim Rogers, Mick Thomas, Cold Chisel - stuff that tells a story.

Do you play it differently live? Not too much, it's a great arrangement and feel so I try to stick to it. Like most stuff live I try to bring out the dynamics even more.

When and where is your launch/next gigs? 23 Jun, Wesley Anne. Special guest includes Nathan Gaunt. It's our only VIC show.
