Can one of ours get the coveted #1?
Just days after triple j pulled off a massive upset by beating music legends Green Day and Barry Gibb to #1 with its latest Like A Version compilation, a number of local acts are set to storm into the top ten of the ARIA charts this week and ruffle some feathers.
According to the midweek figures, Darwin-born pop singer Jessica Mauboy is the best bet to score top spot with new soundtrack, The Secret Daughter: Songs from the Original TV Series, while Sydney-formed Christian group Hillsong Worship's Let There Be Light is expected to debut in the top three, after their 2015 offering, Open Heaven/River Wild peaked at #1.
The #1 placing would be a first for Mauboy, with her most recent LP, 2013's Beautiful, peaking at #3.
Not only will the two acts have to compete with triple j again, but they'll have to fend off US heavyweights Kings Of Leon whose seventh record WALLS is also a contender for #1.

Meanwhile, UK-born-Aussie raised songwriter Lisa Mitchell and Newcastle punk-rockers Trophy Eyes will ensure final placings come down to the wire, as their respective new LP's, Warrior and Chemical Miracle, are primed for top ten debuts.
The placing for their sophomore album be huge for Trophy Eyes on the back of their debut LP Mend, Move On back in 2014, while Mitchell has peaked in the top ten with both of her previous records (Bless This Mess, #7, and Wonder, #6).
Rounding out the albums debuts this week includes The Game's 1992, The Dillinger Escape Plan's Dissociation, Two Door Cinema Club's Gameshow, Andre Rieu's Falling In Love, The Naked & Famous with Simple Forms, Jagwar Ma's Every Now & Then, Sabrina Carpenter's Evolution and JoJo's Mad Love.
Over on the Singles chart, no debuts are likely to pose a threat to last week's top placings, James Arthur's Say You Won't Let Go and The Weeknd feat Daft Punk's Starboy, though you can expect to see top 30 placings for Maroon 5's Don't Wanna Know feat Kendrick Lamar and Aussie rapper Illy's Catch 22 feat Anne-Marie.
Other new tracks set to chart this week includes The Veronicas' On Your Side and Nevada's The Mack feat Mark Morrison and Fetty Wap.
