More Gordi More Gordi

Australian singer-songwriter Gordi has been announced as the special guest for David Gray’s upcoming national headline tour.

The announcement arrives as Gordi – real name Sophie Payten – releases a new single, Cutting Room Floor, and reveals that the release date for her upcoming album, Like Plasticine, has been pushed back to Friday, 8 August.

According to a press release, the new album “chronicles several transformative years in Gordi’s life, exploring beauty, heartbreak, and the fleeting nature of human experience across 12 captivating new tracks.”

You can check out Cutting Room Floor below and pre-order/pre-save Like Plasticine here.

In addition to Gordi being added to the tour, demand to see the Sail Away hitmaker has been enormous, with a new Perth show added to the itinerary today.

Tickets to the first Perth show are nearly sold out, so a second and final WA show will take place at the Riverside Theatre on Wednesday, 5 November. Tickets for the new show will be available on Thursday, 24 April, at 10 am AWST via the Frontier Touring website.

With the new Perth date announced, Gray will now perform ten shows in Australia this November.

Gray’s upcoming tour follows the recent release of his latest album, Dear Life. It comes after his White Ladder Anniversary Tour, which saw him perform in sold-out arenas across Australia in 2022.
