Sydney experimental soul and electronic architect Jerome Blazé has today released the deluxe edition of his sophomore album Living Room, featuring three new reworks of tracks from the original project. Alongside the release, the artist has also dropped his first official vinyl for Living Room.
While Living Room has existed within our realm since October 2024, the momentum of its release has been highly cherished, taking Blazé to perform the album in support of Close Counters and SAFIA in Sydney earlier this year, as well as shows in Melbourne and Brisbane as part of his Golden Hour In The CBD performance series. The Living Room era has been nothing short of fruitful, and rounding out this chapter is the release of the deluxe album, and an accompanying double vinyl LP.

“I didn’t want to let the LR era go yet, I knew it had more life in it,” the artist wrote online.
“Putting it on vinyl and doing these remixes feels like it’s fulfilled the true cycle of what this album is meant to be. Making and releasing this album has been transformative and I’ve connected with so many people through it, it’s what it’s all about!”
“Really feels like it's opened up my world in so many ways. Thank you for listening and sharing in this moment with me, I really don’t take it for granted!”
“If the music has connected with you, just about the most meaningful thing you can do is go buy a record. Can’t wait to see these arriving in everyone’s collections.”
Living Room (Deluxe) features three reworks of some of Living Room’s most shimmery moments. Fittingly titled as “[Song name] 2”, each rework was teased and released in the lead up to the drop of the deluxe project. The first rework titled Another You 2 is a sonic bonding experience between Blazé, Sydney-based experimental R&B artist Dylan Atlantis and First Nations Brisbane artist Miles Nautu.
“Dylan and Miles are absolute titans of the underground Aus music scene, I’m so stoked to have them come together on this,” said Blazé.
“This one’s built around the outro of the final track on the record and Dylan & Miles brought so much life and energy to it. I love hearing all these different perspectives collide on the one track.”
The second rework titled Rosella Blessing 2 features Sydney indie/folk/rock outfit Beryl, Melbourne musician Hannah McKittrick and Bristol-based Kathleen Frances, who each bring warmth, light and intimacy to the rework.
“Gabs and Alex from Beryl are really good friends…I’ve always wanted to work with them on a recording…this seemed like the perfect opportunity,” said Blazé.
“I always wanted to hear Beryl and Han on a song together, so I reached out and within a few days she sent back a stunning 2nd verse in voice memo form. The vocal in the final track ended up staying as that very first voice memo!”
“I’d been a fan of Kathleen Frances for many years…I figured she too was creating in a similar world to the other features, albeit with a markedly distinct voice and writing style…Despite assembling the track in pieces, it couldn’t have ended up feeling more cohesive. A testament to the true artistry and songwriting talent of these beautiful people.”
The final rework is titled Living Room 2 featuring Sydney artist and filmmaker Zion Garcia. Meditative and autobiographical in classic Garcia form, the song concludes the Living Room era as purely intended; gratifyingly and with joy, encompassed by an entire universe of talent.
