Liam Payne To Perform Exclusive Concert In Sydney This Month

The Australian Turf Club has just announced multi-platinum recording artist Liam Payne, of One Direction fame, will perform an exclusive concert as part of the TAB Everest event this month. 

The race is branded "the world's richest race on turf" and last year's inaugural event hosted Jason Derulo. This year's race day will be held on 13 October and Payne will perform a free 45-minute set for all TAB Everest ticket holders after the final race. 

Speaking of his appearance Payne said he was "a big fan of horse racing". 

"To be performing at the TAB Everest is very exciting - I can't wait to get down to Australia for it," he said. 

Australian Turf Club Chairman Matt McGrath shared in the excitement saying, "The TAB Everest is a showpiece event for Sydney on the global stage and we're delighted that racegoers will celebrate the world's richest race on turf with a free performance by an international star."
