The one we've all been waiting for...

More Phoebe Bridgers More Phoebe Bridgers

Beloved indie rock singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has announced two special Laneway Festival sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney.

Aussie fans have been waiting for a long time to hear Punisher songs live, so the announcement that Bridgers will play a show at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on Monday, 6 February 2023 and Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday, 8 February 2023, will be eagerly welcomed.

The Grammy-nominated I Know The End singer released her debut album, Stranger In The Alps, in 2017. Since then, it's been a wild, supremely creative and productive couple of years for Bridgers.

Along with her friends Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, the trio formed the group boygenius and released their eponymously-titled EP in 2018, gifting us songs like Me And My Dog and Souvenir. The year after, Bridgers teamed up with Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst to create Better Oblivion Community Center, and released an album of the same name.

Her second album, 2020's Punisher, saw Bridgers reach new songwriting heights. It was the sensitive, spectacular soundtrack to life in and out of lockdown worldwide – even the Grammys took notice. In 2021 she received nominations for Best New Artist, Best Alternative Album, Best Rock Song and Best Rock performance.

Bridgers has also collaborated with MUNA on the single Silk Chiffon and Nothing New (Taylor's Version) with Taylor Swift on the re-released Red album.

These two Phoebe Bridgers headline shows have been highly anticipated since the singer last touched down in Australia in February 2019. Regrettably, her 2020 tour with The National still hasn't been rescheduled.
