Album Review: Kita Alexander - Like You Want To

It's a tricky time of year to be reviewing music. Aside from the predictable stocking stuffers (best-ofs, Christmas specials, Adele), November and December usually represent a dearth of quality new tunes.

In this relative vacuum, 19-year-old Kita Alexander's four-track EP Like You Want To stands out, with bleach-blonde summer tunes combining her Stevie Nicks influences with some snappy production. It's nothing that hasn't been done before, and whether this release would have as much cut-through in a busier time of year is up for debate, but nonetheless Alexander has provided a mini-soundtrack for that next trip to the shops.
