"It's interesting stuff, if not a tad demanding, with its light motifs and thin textures."

More The Goods More The Goods

Sydney duo The Goods combine a penchant for spacey hip hop, funk, dancehall and house for their debut EP.  There were clearly too many gems on the table to pick from, so they made it a double EP.

Rosario 'D'Awesome' Ferraro and Boris Bangaltar (Jarrol Renaud) spread their respective production and rhythm prowess across a bunch of tracks that ebb and flow with psyched-out riffs and jams (Strong Man), sparse beats and waterlogged vocals (You're A Star), and vintage, Avalanches-like samples (Pit Stop). It's interesting stuff, if not a tad demanding, with its light motifs and thin textures.
