Crucial Music Acts Split From New World Artists

Leading artist management company Crucial Music has severed its relationship with booking agency New World Artists, with acts on Crucial's roster – The Living End, Gyroscope, Children Collide and Hunting Grounds – no-longer booked by the agency.

The dramatic severing of the long-standing relationship comes after fellow Crucial-managed act 360 left the agency last December. Despite both parties telling theMusic.com.au then that the remainder of Crucial's roster will remain with the agency, Tone Deaf reported today that both sides have confirmed the split – believed to have happened last week.

Crucial's official statement says that last Friday, “NWA decided to discontinue their role as agent for the remaining acts on Crucial's roster. It wasn't something we were expecting, and therefore can not advise future plans at this early stage.”

Similar to 360, all bookings for the artists will be made through Crucial Music themselves for the foreseeable future. The Living End have recently finished their record-breaking Retrospective residency tour, while Hunting Grounds are towards the end of an album cycle. Gyroscope are on a hiatus while Children Collide's touring future is unclear. 360 is working towards new material and the US market. It is likely that any 2013 domestic tour will be his biggest to date.

New World Artists' roster also includes Urthboy, Hermitude, Grinspoon, Dead Letter Circus and British India.
