On Monday (31 March), fans who arrived early to Limp Bizkit’s show in Frankfurt, Germany, watched Ecca Vandal as one of the tour openers. And she had a surprise up her sleeves.
Ripping through her latest single, the slick, punk-rocking CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE, the South African-born, Melbourne-raised artist was joined by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst on stage, who sang along with her. “Make some noise for Fred Durst,” she said before adding, “What a fucking honour!”
Vandal captioned an Instagram post featuring video footage of the performance, “Cruising with Fred Durst.” In return, the Rollin’ singer commented with a smiling face and fire emojis.

In December, Limp Bizkit announced their Loserville European tour for March and April, with Ecca Vandal supporting alongside Karen Dió, Bones, N8NOFACE, and Riff Raff. The tour ends tonight at Accor Arena in Paris, France.
Ecca Vandal dropped CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE in late February. Her first piece of new music this year, the track arrived fresh from a local support slot for the globetrotting IDLES. Prior to its release, Fred Durst described the track as “legendary.”

She said of CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE, “This song is about cultivating your inner strength when navigating life on your own, even when it feels a bit isolating.
“It's about that pivotal moment when you recognise that you're stronger without the people who were weighing you down, and there's a real sense of empowerment in that for me.
“It captures the feeling of breaking free and moving forward, no matter the challenges that come. Even when others are waiting for you to fall, you're still rising — stronger than ever.”
Last year, Ecca Vandal returned with her first new music in four years. While she hadn’t released a song of her own since the release of her self-titled debut album in 2017, she kept busy, locking in collaborations with Birdz, Illy, DZ Deathrays, and Void Of Vision, and heavily touring before taking a much-needed break.
